This is the last day of the ACS for me and by far the most exciting. It’s really the most important day for synthetic organic chemists as far as I can tell, ’cause there are so many natural product and new reactions lectures. Not only that, but it’s also the day J.J. gets up and talks.
This morning I got up late and missed a bus to get to BART and balbhlahb, it was lame. That all boils down to missing the presentation by one of La Clair’s … er… colleagues. No big loss. I sat in on the session La Clair hosted. It was as I predicted: nothing special.
I also saw an advertisement for Nature’s blog The Sceptical Chemyst. Jesus, that’s odd. Go them, I guess. For all you chickenheads over in the Moscone center with your laptop, you should know that you can totally pirate free wireless over in the Metreon across the street. Indeed, I’m totally jackin’ the Sony Store’s. This Metreon place is really stupid, by the way.
More after 5:00…
